Honey Baked Brie with Walnuts

A crust that yields to the knife, releasing a molten, creamy center. The honey adds shine and sweetness that balances perfectly with the salty melted cheese.

Instructions

  1. Preparing the cheese

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Remove the brie from its packaging and place it in an oven-safe dish. Using a sharp knife, score the top crust in a diamond pattern without piercing the bottom.

  2. Topping

Spread the crushed walnuts and cranberries over the top of the cheese. Drizzle generously with honey until everything is glossy. Sprinkle with thyme.

    5 min
  3. Baking and serving

Bake for 15 minutes. The cheese should be puffed up and the edges slightly sagging. Serve immediately with warm toasted slices of country bread.

Chef's tips

  • Do not overcook or the cheese will escape and harden.
  • Take the brie out of the fridge 30 minutes before baking for even melting.

Storage

Consume immediately after baking. Does not store well once cooled.
